New book on Islamic finance in Italy

Italian think-tank ASSAIF publishes new book that aims to be the standard reference work for Islamic finance in Italy.

Associate and founding member of ASSAIF, Marco Mauri, has co-authored "Economia e finanza islamica. Quando i mercati incontrano il mondo del Profeta". This Italian language study is set to become a standard reference book for Islamic finance in Italy.

Marco Mauri is head of public equities at Unicorn Investment Bank in Bahrain. ASSAIF, the Associazone per lo Sviluppo di Strumenti Alternativi e di Innovazione Finanzaria, is a think tank at the forefront of the creation of Islamic financial structures in Europe. It has been active since the mid 1980s and in 2006 ASSAIF arranged and financed the first real estate Murabaha transaction ever concluded in Italy.
